Please don't do that. Thats disrespectful to anyone you are swimming with. You will still be bleeding into the water. Would you swim in a pool with someone who was bleeding all over. i wouldn't try it. use a tampon for a very light flow. its not worth the embarresment it may cause you.
hey girl, i'm a heavy period person and i go padless/tamponless all the time (when i'm swimming) and it typically stops when your swimming but check every once and awhile in the bathroom to see if anything is leaking...
yeah , wear the dark suit AND a tampon, better to be safe than sorry ... just make sure the little rope doesnt pop out!!!!
I think you should still use a tampon just in case you neve know i would stay on the safe side and use a tampon

I personally believe you can swim during your period any time. That is why we have tampons. In order to prevent any embarassing leaks, get the super plus tampons for swimming.
use tampon every time swimming, light or heavy flow. I promise its not gonna pop out when you jump in.lol

Best bathing suit color for me? (pale skin, dark hair, light eyes)?
I am trying to find the right color bathing suit and wanted some advice.
I have very pale skin, and have a ';cool'; skin tone (pinkish/blue undertones, never tans, always burns). I have very dark brown hair and very light blue eyes, like a light teal/aqua color.
I'm one of the few people who actually likes being pale and am drawn to vibrant, dark colors, mostly black and red because I don't mind that my paleness stands out more. I was wondering if anyone else with similar skintones and coloring had any suggestions on colors that really highlighted their pale skin? Go for fuchsia or really bright turquoise! Try to avoid pale colors if you have pale skin, and these vibrant ones will go great with the color of your eyes and hair!
However, if you want to look even paler, go for a lilac (again great with your eyes/hair) or light beige (for a contrast with the pinkish-blue undertone in your skin), just not white, that would be much too bland...

I think that you would look really pretty on blues, royal blues, navy blues and light blues as long as its not too light, go for cool colors, pastels are more for tan or medium skins I think so I wouldnt get lots of pastels...and purple also sounds like it would be pretty on you :)

Sure, go ahead and have a swim......but if i were you i would
wear a tampon just in case you spring a leak....that would be just too embarrassing for words. If you do not want to use a tampon just stick a thin pantyliner in the crotch of your swim-suit....make sure you center it and then check to see if anything is peeking out. I have done the pantyliner thing many times and have had very good luck with them. I really do hope this has helped you.....Good luck

To overcome an issue like this, it's about timing the rewards and corrections, and not pushing the dog too much. The dog needs to be taught how to behave when there are loud noises.
Things to try:
1) Dance and rock music to loud volumes (does your dog mind it?)
2) With dry food (no water) shake and bang the metal dog bowl (makes a hell of a noise, but is a positive thing)
3) When you know thunder or fireworks are coming, shut the bathroom door, lay the dog down, and throw bits of carrot (or some other treat ... carrot cos it's zero fat and most dogs love it) on the dog. It acts as a distraction. If the dog won't eat the food, then it's a severe fear, if it takes the food, then it will help to bring positive feelings out.
The poor dog is living in fear, and you are quite right to want to do something about this.

I'm assuming you don't want him in the bathtub when it's thundering out, and if so, why? Let him stay in it until he feels safe (to me, it's sort of like dragging a dog out of its crate).
If you know your dog freaks out over thunder, lightening and fireworks, it's a lot easier to call your vet and get an on-going prescription for tranquilizers.It beats trying to pet and comfort the dog (which usually doesn't work anyway) or have him try to hide, not to mention the continuous panting and pacing. The reason I suggest getting an on-going prescription is because every so often there are storms that give you no warning and I like having preventative medicine on hand for emergency situations.
A lot of times we have to do things to our pets they may not like, such as taking them to the vet. Dogs don't hate, but even if mine did, I still would give him the tranquilizer because I'd rather have him hate me than to shiver and cower in a corner instead of sleeping.
Besides, Buck literally loves taking pills - in fact, all of our dogs do. That's one of the few times they get peanut butter!

My dog is also scared of noises and especially fireworks. Vet recommended Dog Appeasing Pheromone (D.A.P.) which you plug in to an electrical socket and is supposed to calm the dog down. Have to say that with some fireworks sounding louder than Beirut in an attack doesn't do a lot of good %26gt; the only real solution is to ban the damn things %26gt;%26gt; unless you have a pet you don't realise the distress you are causing %26gt;%26gt; but then nobody is allowed to let off fireworks anywhere near Big Gordie are they ?? %26gt;%26gt; so he's not interested in this prob

lol that's funny because my dog does the same thing. not scared of thunder, but if fireworks are close by (we had some in our backyard past 4th of July) she jumps straight in the bathtub. some dogs are just scared of loud noises. you can just comfort her and make her feel as comfortable as possible..but i never make my dog feel as though she's done anything wrong for being scared. if she's comfortable in the bathtub i let her stay there. i never found a way to fix it other than easing it a little bit by sitting with her and petting her. but it doesn't happen that much (the loud noises)

i have red hair and pale skin and madras looks really cute or get oranges and yellows. i dont wear dark colors because they make you look a lot paler and i hate that.
A hot pink or light pink. Definitely stay away from dark green and purples. Gold and all kinds of blue look awesome. Blue eyes: Blue swimsuits, silver swimsuits(stay away from pink and red). Brown eyes: Gold swimsuits, pink swimsuits, Brown and green swimsuits, or earthy colors(stay away from dark blue).Green or hazel eyes: You can get away with almost any color, warm or cool, just stay away from red and purple.
Teal/turquoise and light shades make you look darker. Sometimes white does too.

How to wire three light bath bar fixture?
Installing a 3 light bath bar above mirror. Each light has 3 wires coming out behind it...black, white, ground.
Wires are not long enough to meet at middle where outlet box is. Have 3 wire groups coming out of junction box..2 red twisted together, ditto 2 white, and ditto 2 black. One switch for fixture. How do I wire this?

The best way to check this out is to use a test meter, however, if the second light (or fan) no longer goes on and off, then the red wire is definitely coming from the switch. This red circuit will be the hot side for your triple bath fixture (the three black wires). The white wires should all go to the white wires in the junction box.

If I am pale, should I wear a light-colored or dark-colored bathing suit to make me look darker?
Pink, and more usually light pink, helps bring color to anyone's skin tone. So if you like light pink definitely try this.
Also, what tone is your skin? Is it warm or cool? This is a factor when choosing colors to compliment or help your skin look better. If you have cool skin (comes with ashy hair, light eyes and you turn pink when in the sun) try a light blue or green, or even a light slate gray. If you have warm skin (and remember this is the tone, not the actual color so you can have cool tones with darker skin and vice versa) try light yellows, oranges, tan or light brown.

The more complicated the bath the more lightly you will get a fault in the long term. Plus the spa system has a pump included, this can be noisy if not installed well.
Plus pumps can leak, I would just go with a normal bath.

Hi does anyone know the regulations for lights above bath and shower please?
i had a qualified electrician put up some low voltage flush fitting halogen downlighters in the bathroom although they look lovely they are very small almost starlights dotted around all over the ceiling i am now a bit worried as they are also above the bath and shower area it said on the box zone 3 they also have a transformer in the loft i dont think one would actually drop out into the bath but the shower is quite forceul and i am getting worried i any water splashes onto them of what could happen i wouldnt like to get electrecuted all because of a nice bathroomHi does anyone know the regulations for lights above bath and shower please?

You say that the lights are for Zone 3, are they above 2.25 Metres?
The area directly above this height and above a shower or bath is actually zone 2, up to 3 Metres.
Finally they should have the correct IP rating ( Ingress Protection) and in this Zone they should by IP 4X.

The beauty of low voltage lights is that you can't get electrocuted by them. The transformer is connected to the line voltage and a low safe voltage comes out of the transformer. That is what runs the lights and even provides protection against a fire if the wires got shorted together. A qualified electrician would make sure that the lights themselves are appropriate for a zone where water could splash and that they were firmly attached up there (two things that are in the National Electrical Code). That eliminates those problems so just relax in your shower.
Licensed electricians do not mess around with skimping on those details for fear they could lose their license and end up unemployed.
Any light fitting in a bathroom whether above a bath or shower must be of the sealed cover type, that means that a cover has to be over the bulb, whether it's low energy bulb or a D-bulb. these light are steam and moister resistant. This also to prevent you touching the bulb with wet hand wile in the bath/shower. These light fittings also have to be earthed to a permanent earth such as a water pipe in the bath room.

Have no fear! If he was a qualified electrician, he would have made sure that no high voltage could get wet from your shower. Normally one transformer serves many low voltage lights and the electrician is duty bound by the 'Electrical Regulations' that he must work by, to ensure it is securely fixed and can in no way come into contact with water or anyone in the water be able to touch it.
As the lights are probably 12 volts, there is no way you should get an electric shock.
If the electrician knows what he was doing he would have tied them into a GFI receptacle and then you are safe!
not need to worry cause they are on the ceiling and not on the wall where the water can get to them and besides you can't get electrocuted, if anything happens you might just get a little shock and nothing else. Cause if the electician is certified he also grounded them to the breakers and when you get a shock they shut off, so enjoy and don't worry.

The bathroom is a notifiable area under Part ';P';
You say that the lights are for Zone 3, are they above 2.25 Metres?
The area directly above this height and above a shower or bath is actually zone 2, up to 3 Metres.
Finally they should have the correct IP rating ( Ingress Protection) and in this Zone they should by IP 4X.

The beauty of low voltage lights is that you can't get electrocuted by them. The transformer is connected to the line voltage and a low safe voltage comes out of the transformer. That is what runs the lights and even provides protection against a fire if the wires got shorted together. A qualified electrician would make sure that the lights themselves are appropriate for a zone where water could splash and that they were firmly attached up there (two things that are in the National Electrical Code). That eliminates those problems so just relax in your shower.
Licensed electricians do not mess around with skimping on those details for fear they could lose their license and end up unemployed.
Any light fitting in a bathroom whether above a bath or shower must be of the sealed cover type, that means that a cover has to be over the bulb, whether it's low energy bulb or a D-bulb. these light are steam and moister resistant. This also to prevent you touching the bulb with wet hand wile in the bath/shower. These light fittings also have to be earthed to a permanent earth such as a water pipe in the bath room.

If he was not from a reputable company or you doubt his qualifications get in another electrician to test the installation in accordance with IEE regulations.

Have no fear! If he was a qualified electrician, he would have made sure that no high voltage could get wet from your shower. Normally one transformer serves many low voltage lights and the electrician is duty bound by the 'Electrical Regulations' that he must work by, to ensure it is securely fixed and can in no way come into contact with water or anyone in the water be able to touch it.
As the lights are probably 12 volts, there is no way you should get an electric shock.
If the electrician knows what he was doing he would have tied them into a GFI receptacle and then you are safe!

I have a 3way switch hook-up in my bath room, it controls my light,fan & shower light. I have a new 3&2 way .
My new double switch( 3 %26amp;2 way combo ) does not work. I have wired the 3 way portion of the new switch exactly like the other 3 way but it will not work from both switches, just one side at a time. I have not even tried to hook up the bottom half yet (2-way) for my fan and shower light. But,I did re-hook my other 3 way only switch and it went back to 3-way,both switches worked as they should. Do I have a bad (new) 3%26amp; 2 way combo switch or am I wiring the top part (3 way) wrong? I want to be able to control the main bathroom light from the 3-way switch and the fan and shower light from the 2-way switch on my double switch combo. Depending on where you are, there are agencies that provide these services. Or you can put an ad in the help-wanted section of the paper. I want to do a little makeover on my bathroom. Right now the walls are light pink (ew). The bathtub is a very light tanish color, and the toilet and sink are white, so is the floor. I think you could paint the walls a medium shade of tan/suede. Would give it a rich look. Or paint the walls white as planned and 1 accent wall in the medium/dark suede color.
For the shower curtain, I opt for clear with an opaque pattern on it. This way light goes around the whole room and does not stop at the solid shower curtain. It is also light in the shower/tub area too.
Another idea, clear liner (inside tub) with a white sheer fabric curtain on the outside.
The sheer white curtain gives it a spa-like look.
Or instead of the sheer white curtain, you could use a sheer curtain in another light color, like turquoise, green.
Keep the accent colors to a minimum and the tans and whites will give the whole bath a spa-like look.
Use white bathroom paint or satin on the bathroom ceiling and satin or semi-gloss on the walls. Both in latex.
Adding blue and chocolate to your color scheme
will complement and contrast perfectly.
Light blue walls for a light and airy feel.

Can you run a ground to the cold water pipe? If you can you can use the water pipe as a ground. It is not ideal but it is the next best thing to running a new power feed with a proper ground. The white wire in older homes used to double as the neutral and the ground. If you look in an electrical panel you will see they are often both connected to the same neutral bar. Some electricians like to have separate lighting circuits from the outlet circuits while others wire up a circuit for a room or group of rooms. If this light gets its power downstream of an outlet then you could put a GFCI outlet there and run everything downstream off the ';LOAD'; terminals of the GFCI. No ground is required, GFCI measures difference in current between hot and neutral and can protect an ungrounded circuit.

I have awakened about 10 times this year to everything bathed in a beautiful yellow light. It can take up to 1?
and 1/2 minutes to clear. I looked color disturbances up and it mentions something called chromatopsia and it can occur in different colors. The yellow version of this is called xanthopsia. I have already wired up the light to the switch I wanted and it works fine, but with fan and heater, I cannot get to work. I wired the fan(blue) to the black and the heater(red) to the black.
I am probably confusing who ever reads this, but I am confused on how to wire this without 3 way wiring.

If there is only two cables exiting your switch box, then one may have four wires in it, controlling both fan and heater. at your heater/fan, look at the wire coming in, does it have a ground, neutral, and 2 hots. If so, then wire on of the hots to your heater (red) then the other hot the your fan(blue).Wiring a exhaust,light,heater, bath fan unit?
Run a hot wire to the light, fan, heater box, hook up the hot side there, then simply run three neutral wires down to switch, this eliminates the hot wire in the small box, then simply split your incoming neutral into thirds and hook up to switches. Make sure you hook up a ground on both ends, one to the switch box, if using more than one simply run a jumper from box to box, and ground the metal casing on the light, fan, heater box and then run that ground by itself to the main ground in the house.

The Fan and Heater needs more romex down the wall, to seperately control the functions desired. you need two more conductors. Drill %26amp; Fish it in. OR it could be a SMART Switch. in a bathroom ?not. was the original wiring working? if you have attic above, you can do it.
both the switch and the unit should have a manual.
