Light blue master bedroom to red master bath?

I want to paint my new master bedroom Benjamin Moore's Santorini Blue and have my bathroom caliente (red). Would this be too much of a ';shock?'; My bathroom has an Asian theme. I just didn't know if it would be too much. Plus I don't really intend on closing the double french doors that lead to the bathroom. What do you think?Light blue master bedroom to red master bath?
This color may or may not work in the bath. It is a bold color and will require great lighting, natural and artificial. Not flourescent bulbs. Also the size of the bath is something to consider. Rich colors can warm up a room while at the same time make them feel smaller, yet more intimate.

You bath is Asian inspired. Be sure to use some elements of this look in your bedroom as well as incorporate some red in there. Example: red lamp shades, draperies or throw pillows

Be sure to use some blue in the bathroom as well. Example: Blue candles, picture matting, and hand towels.

By using both colors in both spaces and carrying your theme into both rooms it can work.Light blue master bedroom to red master bath?
I say you have to be bold when it comes to colors, and do what you like. We painted our kitchen a coffee color, put up the new cabinets and decided we didn't like it. So now it is a nice dark red and we love it.

Personally, I prefer a bright color in the bathroom. I like a bathroom to have lots of light.

The other guy was right though, when its time to sell, you'll have to paint it with more neutral colors. Paint color alone can make people not want to buy a house.
I totally agree with what Frenchco said. Also you might want to think about painting your woodwork a crisp white. If you don't have crown moldings, you might want to think about having those installed. Moldings add style and character to any room. The white will tone down some of the brightness and add to the beauty of your home, not to mention extra $$$ when or if you should decide to sell. Hope this helps!
yuck

If you like it, do it.

However you will have to paint over both (more than likely) if you come to sell it again, as it is not going to be everyone's taste.

Look at some books for ideas, or ask the people where you get good quality paint what they recommend.
Go for it! I love when people use real colors and not earthy neutrals or just plain white. Bleh. So boring. Maybe think about doing a more saturated blue so the change from a cool to a warm color won't be such a shock to the eyes.
